Polar Bear fed a horse head at the Zoo

This is very unnatural shot of a polar bear eating a horse's head.

I'm picking this was a polar bear in a zoo and the horse's head was intercepted on route to the glue factory....

Reminds us of the time the lions got fed a horse... in a Zoo.

What do they feed Lions at the Wellington Zoo?

At the Wellington Zoo they feed the Lions, horse with added horse shoe for extra iron supplement. I actually took this photo myself on a trip to the Zoo in 2006. I love the shot and the suggestiveness of it. Whilst I know it was taken in a closed environ where a dead horse was fed to the Lions, in the absense of that knowledge, you could think of any horrific scenario that left a horse leg on a rock....
 
The Wellington Zoo is acutally a pretty decent zoo, very family friendly and the animals are well treated etc. Unlike the Phuket Zoo, where I visited last year. If the photos suggest I was having a good time I was, but on reflection it made me sad.

Hippo saves on dentist bills

It's not all Animals eating Animals on this site, sometimes the Editor doesn't notice if I slip in the odd cute picture....

Check out a zebra cleaning a hippo's teeth in an enclosure at Zurich Zoo, Switzerland.

Regarded as one of the most aggressive animals in the world, the hippopotamus allowed the zebra to floss its teeth for fifteen minutes.

Must have had some baby Zebra stuck in between the molars eh?
